San Diego-based EDF Renewables, a subsidiary of the French utility company, EDF, announced its contract with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority under the 2020 Renewable Energy Standard solicitation for three of its projects on Thursday. One of the three, Tracy Solar Energy Center, is a 119-megawatt project in the towns of Orleans and Clayton that includes a 5-megawatt energy storage system.

When Aroldo Garcia learned that the operations base for a major offshore wind project was coming to his Brooklyn neighborhood, he thought about the jobs it could provide for his family members and friends who worked as handymen and contractors, and for others who didn’t have work at all.
New York State adjusts EV rebate program, adds $30M
An additional $30 million is now available through New York State’s Drive Clean Rebate program to encourage more consumers to lease or purchase an all-electric car or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. More than 37,000 EV rebates, totaling more than $54 million, have already been provided under the Drive Clean Rebate program, which is administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
The program is changing so that more rebates can be distributed throughout the market, with some rebate ranges being lowered to allow more New Yorkers to take advantage of the incentives. The program incentive levels for consumers will change starting 30 June 2021.

ALBANY, NY – The state is offering an additional $30 million in incentives for New Yorkers who want to switch to fully-electric or hybrid vehicles.
The governor’s office announced Friday that New York’s Drive Clean Rebate program is making the money available through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. A total of $54 million has been distributed as rebates for more than 37,000 electric vehicles across the state.
