BUFFALO, N.Y. Erie County restaurants that sued the state over the 11 p.m. curfew were back in court on Friday afternoon.
We didn t get a decision, but Judge Tim Walker said we would have one by the end of the weekend.
Attorneys representing the restaurants argued that the state did not give a valid reason for extending the curfew, while the state argued that indoor dining is still listed as a high-risk activity by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

BUFFALO, N.Y. State Supreme Court Judge Timothy Walker on Saturday dismissed the latest court challenge to the state s 11 p.m. curfew for bars and restaurants.
Judge Walker previously ruled in favor of 90 Western New York restaurant owners in February to lift the statewide curfew, but an appellate court later reinstated it.
Attorney Corey Hogan from HoganWillig says his apparent interpretation is that the petition, which was filed back in January, is no longer relevant because they were challenging a law that was annulled in March.

BUFFALO, N.Y. If you ve walked past Allen Street Hardware Café since the coronavirus pandemic began, you ve probably noticed how quiet it always seems.
That s because it s been closed, and it won t be open anytime soon. It s the 11 p.m. curfew that s the only thing standing in the way of me opening, owner Charlie Goldman said.
Goldman says the curfew drastically cuts his hours, which isn t the way to run his business.
