‘Night of Champions’ to celebrate local athletes
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will host a “Night of Champions” on Tuesday, May 11 to celebrate Taylor County athletes and sports teams from the 1970’s, featuring former Taylor County High School (TCHS) Head Football Coach Elmer Coker.
The FCA’s “Night of Champions” will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. at New Home Baptist Church’s Family Life Center located at 405 E. Hampton Springs Ave.

TCHS prom, awards night, graduation and more
The final weeks of the 2020-21 school year are here, and Taylor County High School (TCHS) has released the following calendar of events:
• Saturday, May 1: Prom, “Enchanted Garden,” 9 p.m. to 2 p.m., doors close at 11 p.m. Tickets will be $20 per person or $30 per couple if bought before April 30 and $25 per person at the door.
• Friday, May 14: Grad Bash at Universal Studios, buses leave TCHS at 7 a.m. and will return at 11 p.m.
• Monday, May 17: Cap and gown pick up/laptop and textbook return for seniors, TCHS Media Center, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
