The mass shooting took place in Wilmington just after midnight. Gunfire erupted at a house party at 710 Kidder St., according to the Wilmington Police Department.
Wilmington Police Department Public Information Officer Jessica Williams said those injured are still at New Hanover Regional Medical Center and stable and recovering. This is a tragic case with several young victims, and our hearts go out to their families and friends during this difficult time, Williams said.
All other details of this incident are still under investigation at this time, according to the release. The Wilmington Police Department Crime Scene Investigation Team found several firearms at the scene, and detectives are actively investigating all leads, the release said.

Police don t have a suspect, and circumstances of the party and possible motive are still under investigation, said Jessica Williams, public information officer. But officers don t believe there is an ongoing danger to the public. This was likely not a random shooting, so we don t believe so, she said.
