Govt encourages for renewable energy: Nasrul 253 File photo DHAKA, May 19, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid today said the government has been encouraging power generation from renewable sources. “It is necessary to innovate such a technology that would occupy less land to generate solar power,” he said while witnessing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing as the chief guest at a virtual plat form for 100-MW solar power plant at Sonagazi, Fenni. The state minister said it is necessary to introduce mixed fuel in power generation, adding, “Developed countries have been working with hydrogen for transforming as energy. It’s time to rethink ocean energy, wind power and rooftop solar.”
