Minister for Higher Education Simon Harris said the Kinsellaâs philanthropic donation to Trinity College was âan act of patriotismâ for which he thanked them on behalf of the nation.

TRINITY COLLEGE DUBLIN (TCD) have received €30 million from Eric Kinsella, the Executive Chairman of the Jones Engineering group, and his wife Barbara.
The funds, the Dublin university said, will kickstart the development of the new Trinity East Campus in the docklands area of the city.
It’s one of the largest donations to an Irish university to ever be gifted by a single benefactor.

Atlantic Bridge, one of Europe’s top performing growth technology funds, has today announced the launch of University Bridge Fund II, an €80m fund focused on scaling and commercialising extensively validated research from Ireland’s third level institutions into the next generation of deep tech companies with global potential.
The fund is a unique partnership between Atlantic Bridge and Irish universities Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin and University College Cork to accelerate the commercialisation of world class science and to globally scale the companies formed. Its goal is to maximise the benefit from research that takes place in the higher education sector.
