Former PBCB leader shot dead in Khulna Star Online Report Star Online Report
A former local leader of outlawed Purbo Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) was died after being shot in Khulna s Phultala upazila yesterday evening.
The deceased was identified as Mollah Hemayet Hossain Lipu, 45, of Tajpur village in the upazila, said Mahtab Uddin, officer-in-charge of Phultala Police Station.
Lipu was among 35 outlaws who surrendered to the home minister in Pabna in 2019, said police.
Quoting locals, OC Mahtab said a group of four to five people on two motorcycles opened fire on Lipu at Gorurhat area of Tajpur village around 7:00pm, leaving him injured.
