Chirton School, near to Devizes, has managed to continue their annual Race for Life fundraiser, albeit with a small twist. Children ran in class bubbles this year, due to covid, and still managed to raise hundreds of pounds for charity. The school have supported the Devizes Branch of Cancer UK for a number of years, and say the charity is very close to our hearts. Headteacher of the school, Mrs Bekker Wrench, said: We were absolutely delighted to be able to support the Devizes branch of Cancer Research UK with our annual Race for Life again this year. Despite running in ‘bubbles,’ we were very much together as one, as this charity continues to be very close to our hearts. The sun shone down on us as we saw inspired examples of resilience, friendship and kindness from the children, staff and preschool. Huge thanks go to everyone that has supported us, we are absolutely delighted to have raised the money.
