Local man accepts plea agreement for role in fatal wreck

Terry L. Hensley A local man charged with murder in connection to a fatal 2019 wreck has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge. Terry Lynn Hensley, 48, of Nancy, pleaded guilty last Thursday to first-degree Manslaughter after participating in criminal mediation earlier in the week. The charge stemmed from a fatal car wreck that occurred in the early morning hours of February 4, 2019, at the intersection of Grande Avenue and East Mt. Vernon Street in downtown Somerset. According to what the Somerset Police Department reported at the time, Hensley was driving a 1996 Honda Civic north on Grande Avenue at a high rate of speed when the vehicle crossed East Mt. Vernon and struck a utility pole.

Pulaski County Man Arrested After Allegedly Shooting His Father

Investigators say it happened on Robert Phelps Road. Deputies said the man who was shot called 911 and told them he was shot by his son, Shawn Glover, and that his son ran away on foot. Deputies looked for Glover but couldn’t find him at the time. Glover’s father was treated at the scene by Somerset and Pulaski County Emergency Medical services and flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Detectives obtained a warrant for Glover’s arrest for assault, domestic violence and robbery charges. Deputies said Glover came to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office where he met with police. He was served a warrant after being interviewed. Glover was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.

Somerset Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest

During the roadside investigation police had the driver and passenger step out of the car. A search of the vehicle turned up meth, xanax pills, digital scales, plastic baggies and $215 cash. Deputies say 29-year-old Carah Bell of Somerset admitted that the drugs were hers and told police she had more methamphetamine on her. Deputies found three more baggies of meth. Bell was arrested and charged with trafficking and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.

Somerset Man Arrested On Gun And Drug Charges

London, KY, USA / SAM 103.9 FM WWEL | Today s Pop Hits Mar 10, 2021 11:26 AM The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called out to the intersection of Highway 192 and Cherry Grove Road to investigate a suspicious vehicle. Officers arrived to find a 44-year-old David Lafavers of Somerset sleeping in a Jeep. Police say they also found a handgun, syringes in a backpack, possible meth and digital scales inside the vehicle. Further investigation revealed Lafavers was convicted on an unrelated felony charge in 2016. Lafavers is charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and possession of a controlled substance. He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
