Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project: The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), responsible for executing the country s first bullet train project, signed a contract agreement with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) - IHI Consortium on February 22, 2021. The agreement signed is for the fabrication and procurement of 28 steel bridges, for crossing over railway lines, rivers, highways, roads, and other structures for the Mumbai Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor. The NHSRCL awarded the Rs 1,390 crore contract to Larson and Toubro – IHI Infrastructure Systems (Consortium) on January 25, 2021. The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) on Friday (19 February) opened the technical bids for the construction of Sabarmati Maintenance depot for 508-km Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed rail project, popularly known as the Bullet Train project, in which nine companies participated.
The NHSRCL, which is the implementing agency of the bullet train project, said that it had invited bids for the preparatory works for the subsequent construction of the Sabarmati maintenance depot for MAHSR corridor on 22 October last year.

Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project: The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), responsible for executing the country s first bullet train project, invited technical bids for the construction of the Sabarmati maintenance depot for the Mumbai Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor. According to a statement shared by NHSRCL, the technical bids opened on Friday, February 19. A total of nine bidders participated in the process and the submitted bids will go through an evaluation process in the next stage. How about reaching your destination, 720 km away, in just 2.5 hours by train? Well a bullet train project is currently underway and it will connect Delhi and Varanasi, a report has said. The travel time will be reduced by 9.5 hours, thanks to the high speed train, it said.
