FLORENCE, S.C. (WMBF) – Authorities are investigating an armed robbery in Florence they say ended with gunfire.
According to information from the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, the robbery happened Wednesday afternoon at a store in the 900 block of Cashua Drive.
Investigators said it is believed two masked and armed suspects entered the store and demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint.
As the suspects were leaving the store, they and the clerk exchanged gunfire, according to information from the FCSO.

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - Two people from Massachusetts have been charged in connection to a drug bust in Florence County, according to deputies.
Maj. Michael Nunn with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office said deputies from the Narcotics and Criminal Enforcement Unit performed a probable cause search of a vehicle after a traffic stop Thursday on Interstate 95.

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) â The Florence County Sheriffâs Office is asking for the publicâs help in identifying the suspects wanted in two recent burglaries.
According to information from the FCSO, suspects broke into Floydâs Convenience Store on Cale Yarborough Highway in Timmonsville on Jan. 13. They reportedly stole a large quantity of Newport, Marlboro, Marlboro Light, and Marlboro Select cigarettes.
Investigators believe the same suspects were involved in an earlier burglary on Dec. 16, 2020 at the Save A Step gas station on South Cashua Drive in Florence. A large quantity of cigarettes was also stolen from this location, according to the FCSO.
