TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â The Florida State University Habitat for Humanity Chapter recently received a $20,000 grant from State Farm, which they must match by mid-May.
Putting that money together will be enough to build one home for a family in Leon County.
The group said they built nine houses last year and they re hopeful in 2021 the group can continue to change people s lives for the better. You never know who the people that you re helping, what they re going to turn out to be or turn out to do, so it s definitely a phenomenal feeling to be able to see how your efforts, your volunteering, your time, your donations can help someone literally have a better life, said grant coordinator for the chapter Joy Daniels.
