Residents of the Wynmoor Village community in Broward received special access to the COVID-19 vaccine in early January. Wynmoor leaders credited Broward County Commissioner Mark Bogen with helping to bring the clinic to the community. Bogen is paid by Wynmoor for legal work. If Bogen used his county position to steer special vaccine access to Wynmoor while he was getting paid by the community, it could be perceived as a conflict of interest. Moskowitz did not respond to an interview request from the Herald-Tribune, but after the Herald-Tribune’s story was published, he told the South Florida Sun Sentinel that he alone picked the location for the Wynmoor clinic “to get shots in arms as fast as possible.”
