BHUBANESWAR: The tropical storm brewing over east-central Bay of Bengal is very likely to head towards north Odisha-West Bengal coast by Wednesday evening as a very severe cyclonic storm. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the very severe cyclonic storm will continue to move north-northwestwards and intensify further before reaching north-west Bay of Bengal near West Bengal and north Odisha coast by Wednesday morning.

Bhubaneswar: Regional Centre of the IMD in Bhubaneswar has informed that the slight rise in the mercury level in the last few days has been spotted following the prevalence of easterly winds in Odisha.
As per the forecast, night temperature will drop by 3-5 degrees Celsius from 19th or 20th December. Even in the capital city of Bhubaneswar, the minimum temperature is expected to decline from the 19th of this month.
As per the latest forecast, will be no large change in minimum temperature during the next 2-3 days and it will be 3-4 degrees Celsius above normal temperature over the districts of Odisha. Hence, the night temperature is likely to fall by 3-5 degree C over the districts of Odisha.
