The health unit reported 16 new cases and 23 recoveries on Friday. This brings the local active case count down to 225.
Thursday’s report did not include a location breakdown. The numbers shown today reflect two days worth of changes.
New cases were reported in Caledonia (5), Dunnville (3), Hagersville (2), Cayuga (5), Jarvis (1), Simcoe (6), Waterford (4), Port Dover (1), and Delhi (4).
On the vaccine end, 42,846 doses have been administered in the area, with 4,994 people having a full vaccine series.

The health unit reported 35 recoveries in the health district on Wednesday morning.
With the 29 new cases also noted, the local active case count went down to 253.
The new cases are from Caledonia (4), Dunnville (5), Hagersville (4), Jarvis (1), Townsend (1), Simcoe (1), Waterford (9), Port Dover (3), and Turkey Point (1).
On the vaccine end, over 40,000 doses have been administered, and nearly 5,000 people have completed their full vaccine series.

The Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit reported Sunday 16 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 283 active cases in Haldimand and Norfolk counties, where a total of 2,321 cases have been recorded since the onset of the pandemic.

Of those 1,992 people have recovered from the virus, while 41 have died.
Another five people who had tested positive for COVID-19 died of complications attributed to other illnesses.
The new cases are accounted for in this way: Dunnville (+8); Caledonia (+2); Hagersville (+1), Jarvis (+1); Simcoe (+1); Waterford (+1); Delhi (+1); and Langton (+1).
For the week ending Sunday, May 2 there were 149 new confirmed cases.
