Stock pictures. .Poole Magistrates Court. .. A WOMAN who was described as a prolific offender has been jailed for her latest store theft. Gemma Anne McNichol pleaded guilty to stealing food and drink items from Sainsbury s in Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, on April 26. McNichol, 34 and of Clarence Park Road, Bournemouth, appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates Court on July 16. The defendant also admitted committing this offence while subject to two suspended sentence orders, which were made in April and October last year. These orders related to offences of fraud, theft and public order matters. Magistrates implemented the suspended sentences as immediate custodial terms totalling six weeks.
Poole bus station in Poole town centre A MAN has appeared in court after stealing two emergency glass hammers at Poole Bus Station. Wayne David Griffin, 36 and of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to charges of theft and failing to surrender to custody when he appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on July 19. The court heard that Griffin stole the hammers, which belonged to Morebus and were valued at £32.30, from the transport hub in Kingland Road on May 9. District Judge Stephen Nicholls fined the defendant £80 and ordered him to pay £32.30 compensation and £85 prosecution costs. Griffin received no separate penalty for the bail offence after he did not attend court on July 16.
Mark Hill Cousins committed the two driving offences in April. He previously pleaded guilty to two counts of drink driving and was in the dock at and was in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on July 8 for sentencing.
