Zhaawanong Naabinabin Warren, 21, of rural Ogema, has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony second-degree burglary of a church.
According to court records, on the night of June 12 or June 13, 2020, the Strawberry Lake Mennonite Church was burglarized. A basement window was broken, an LG 65-inch TV was broken and a 24-inch Vizio TV was taken. Two metal doors in the church had pry marks on them and had been rendered unworkable. A crowbar was found outside on the sidewalk near the broken window. Fingerprints were taken at the scene and submitted to the Minnesota Bureau of criminal Apprehension for analysis.

Daniel Jack Thompson, 30, of rural Frazee, has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony first-degree burglary and felony second-degree burglary.
According to court records, on April 13 a Becker County homeowner noticed a dark figure walking away from her residence, and her dog was barking, so she caught up to the man, allegedly Thompson, and he handed over a baseball bat and a latch to her fence. She took his photo and called law enforcement after he left.

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. A former owner of a Detroit Lakes, Minn., massage parlor has been hit with 22 felony tax charges in Becker County District Court.
Jinlan Li, 62, of rural Hawley, Minn., is charged with six counts of failing to file taxes, 11 counts of failing to pay or collect sales taxes, and five counts of filing false or fraudulent tax returns. She owes more than $119,000 in unpaid income and sales taxes, according to a criminal complaint.

A former owner of Sunny Asian Health Massage in Detroit Lakes has been hit with 22 felony tax charges in Becker County District Court.
Jinlan Li, 62, of rural Hawley, has been charged with six counts of failing to file taxes, 11 counts of failing to pay or collect sales taxes, and five counts of filing false or fraudulent tax returns.

Cory Thomas Swift, 44, of Detroit Lakes, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony second-degree burglary.
A felony charge of fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle was dropped in a plea agreement.
According to court records, at 1:31 a.m. on July 10, 2019, a deputy patrolling East Lake Ida Lane saw a black 2014 Nissan Altima parked next to a construction dumpster, near a house that was under construction.
