A Clinton man along with a Sayre man are accused of working together and robbing the Sayre McDonald’s.
The long investigation into the crime revealed that 20-year-old William Carl Ernst of Clinton allegedly met with 21-year-old Christian Robert Paulino of Sayre behind the restaurant on the evening of January 12, 2020. At the time, Paulino was an employee of the business.
The two had allegedly planned to pretend as if Ernst was forcing Paulino back into the restaurant at gunpoint. This was carried out, and Ernst had allegedly held three other employees at gunpoint and proceeded to steal $1,200 of cash, before fleeing the scene on foot.

A Clinton man was arrested in Elk City recently after allegedly threatening a woman with a knife and holding her against her will.
According to a probable cause affidavit, 33-year-old Cory Lee Meade was arrested just after midnight on June 22 near the intersection of State Highway 6 and Meadow Ridge Drive after Elk City Police were dispatched to the area when a report came in saying a male subject had a shotgun pointed at an individual, and that one male subject had thrown a female subject to the ground.
When police arrived, they found four subjects – including Meade – standing in the north bound lane of S.H. 6, and another subject in a nearby pickup.
An Elk City man is wanted after being charged in Beckham County District Court with one count of 1st degree murder stemming from a botched robbery last.

A Hammon man led authorities on a high speed pursuit in Beckham County earlier this month after allegedly stealing a car.
The chase would end with the man wrecking the vehicle.
According to the probable cause affidavit for arrest, 32-year-old Micah Jay Johnson was arrested on the morning of May 8 when he took a vehicle belonging to a woman whose home he was staying at, in Elk City. According to the report, the woman told police that Johnson woke her sometime around 3 a.m. asking for a ride. When asked where he wanted to go, he would later confess that it was to a potential drug deal. Johnson was denied the ride, but would come back into the room and allegedly take the keys to the woman’s car.
