Kolkata: Hours after dismissing the Trinamool Congress s (TMC s) allegations that Mamata Banerjee was attacked last week while campaigning for Assembly elections in Nandigram from where she is contesting polls, the Election Commission (EC) suspended IPS officer Vivek Sahay, Director of Security, who was in charge of the West Bengal chief minister s protection details.

New Delhi, March 14
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was back on the roads of Kolkata on Sunday, four days after being injured in Nandigram, leading a TMC march on a wheelchair and declaring that a wounded tiger is far more dangerous.
She joined the five-km march as part of observation of “Nandigram Diwas” to commemorate the killing of 14 villagers in police firing during the anti-land acquisition protest in 2007.
The march was organised by the TMC in Kolkata.
