Image Source: IANS News Kolkata, Jan 31 : Former India captain and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly was on Sunday discharged from the Apollo Gleneagles Hospital after undergoing a second round of angioplasty. According to hospital sources, Ganguly is currently doing fine. The BCCI president has been advised to be on medication and follow a strict routine for the next few months. Ganguly was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday after he complained of uneasiness and chest pain. He had complained of chest pain on Tuesday night and as he continued to feel unwell even on Wednesday morning, his family members decided to shift him to the hospital.

The 48-year-old cricket icon is stable . Two stents have been inserted to clear blocks in Mr Gangulys coronary arteries. He is in the ICU and will remain there for the next 12 hours for observation. Mr Ganguly is on oxygen support but he is conscious. He is stable and after another round of checkups tomorrow, we will shift him to another ward, the official told PTI.

Bengal govt to table resolution against farm laws in Assembly

Left parties and the Congress are also opposed to the farm laws. A resolution against the farm Bills passed by the Central government will be tabled in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly on January 28. The resolution, under Rule 169 of the Procedures of Conduct of Business of the House, will be tabled by the West Bengal government. A two-day special session of the State Assembly commenced on January 27 and would continue till January 28. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who has expressed strong reservations against the farm Bills, had said the State Assembly would pass a resolution against the Central laws. States like Rajasthan and Punjab have passed similar resolutions in their respective Assemblies.
