Human Foot Found in Dumpster by Maryland Couple

Baltimore Sun reported that a homeless couple were dumpster diving in a container in west Baltimore on Tuesday morning when they found parts of a human foot.
The woman told officers that she and her boyfriend had been searching the container in the 1000 block of W. North Avenue at around 10a.m. on Tuesday.

Baltimore Sun said officers had searched the dumpster and found no more human remains.
They took the foot away for examination, to find out whether the person it belonged to had been dead or alive when the foot was removed from the leg, according to a police spokesperson.

DENVER The man accused of killing and dismembering 33-year-old Joshua Lockard appeared in a Denver court for an advisement hearing at 1:30 p.m. Monday, where his preliminary hearing was set for 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 23.
Benjamin Satterthwaite, 28, is charged with:
One count first-degree murder
One count tampering with a deceased human body.
Denver Police (DPD) responded to a Dec. 29 call from Denver Parks and Recreation workers who reported they found a black and a purple suitcase, one with a human foot sticking out of it, on the side of the street in the 1700 block of South Java Way in the Mar Lee neighborhood, the affidavit says.

Benjamin Satterthwaite was arrested by Denver police after they responded to a medical call at an apartment on South Federal Boulevard and found “evidence and a crime scene consistent with the homicide case,” CBS4 Denver News reported.
A 28-year-old Denver man has been charged with first-degree murder in the grisly killing and dismembering of a man whose remains were found in two suitcases, the District Attorney’s office said.
On Dec. 29, purple suitcases were found on the side of the street by city workers on the 1700 block of South Java Way in the Mar Lee neighborhood, according to the Denver police arrest affidavit obtained by KMGH-TV. Allegedly attached to one of the suitcases were United Airlines baggage claim stickers with the name “Satterthwaite” and “Den,” according to the affidavit. Inside the suitcases were the dismembered remains of Joshua Lockard, 33, authorities said.

A murder suspect accused of killing and dismembering a Colorado man last month apparently forgot to remove a crucial piece of evidence from one of the suitcases he used to stuff the victim’s body parts, prosecutors said Tuesday.
Investigators examining a purple suitcase that contained a human foot and a leg also found a baggage claim sticker with information from a recent flight including the suspect’s name.
Benjamin Satterthwaite, 28, was arrested in Denver this week and charged with first-degree murder and tampering with a deceased human body. It was the culmination of a gruesome and mysterious case that involved at least one other death connected to the suspect.
