Bradley Morris Wise, 64, of Bedford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020, at his residence from a sudden heart attack.
He was born on March 23, 1956, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Robert Clark and Marjorie Lucille (Morris) Wise.
He is survived by two loving children: Eric Wayne Wise and wife Tara Coyle Wise of Bedford; and Meghan Lynne Wise Bardell, and husband Sean Bardell of Bedford; a father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Wilda Iames Knisely of Bedford; four siblings, Robert âDougâ Wise, Kimberly Wise Lowe, Kevin Wise and wife Sharon, and Kuyler Wise; best friend and soulmate, Cynthia Knisely Wise; sister-in-law, Pamela Knisely Jones, and husband Jason; four grandchildren who were his entire world: Jenna Wise, Reghan Wise, Easton Bardell and Athena Bardell; two very special nephews, Graden Jones and Cullen Jones; nephews Joshua, Shaun, Jonathan, Zak and niece, Jamie; best friends, Jerry Conway and Gregg Murawsky; and a cat, who was his l
One injured, three children unharmed following pickup overturning in Bedford

BEDFORD, Va. – The Bedford Fire Department rescued one adult and three children after their pickup flips on a Bedford road Sunday.
Officials said the incident happened on the 3000 block of Bore Auger Road.
When units arrived, they found a pickup turned over with an adult and three children still inside.
Crews worked to remove all the victims and say the three children were uninjured while the adult had to be extricated from the vehicle and suffered minor injuries.

(BEDFORD) – The Bedford Board of Works only received one bid for the Riley Pump Station removal. The lone bid was received by Infrastructures Systems Inc. for a total of $1,707,000. The bids were taken under advisement to be reviewed before the Board of Works accepts the bid.
Bedford Board of Works approved a lease between Safe Haven Boxes Inc. The city will be installing a Baby Box in the near future. Duke Energy has donated towards this project.
In other business:
Accepted the Operation Pullover/DUI Taskforce Grant agreement between the City of Bedford and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. A total of $37,000 will be split between the two agencies.
(BEDFORD) – Bedford Mayor Sam Craig asked city council members to consider giving city employees a stipend.
Mayor Craig was advised by several department heads that employees were asking about whether they could receive a stipend like Lawrence County employees were given.
Mayor Craig told council members that each city does everything different based on how they would administer a stipend and various dollar amounts given to those employees.
The city cannot give out any stipends until the first of the year because it would require a public notice.
City of Bedford employees a total of 160 full-time employees and 7 part-time employees.
He said his wife is a nurse for ProMedica and will not be getting the vaccine.
“I’m not anti-vaccine by any means, I get my flu shot every year and it’s not a big deal . But with this coronavirus (vaccine), there’s no freaking way,” Bruning said.
“It hasn’t been tested long enough. They’re changing stuff on a genetic level, let’s see what happens to these people’s kids that get this shot. It was rushed way too fast, so I’m not getting it and whoever doesn’t want to can get a religious exemption.
