On Sunday, Jan. 3, Pettis County Deputies responded to 100 Road Runner Court, for a report of a disturbance that occurred Saturday night, Jan. 2. After an investigation, Bre Asia Jones was arrested for making a terrorist threat. Jones was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges by the Pettis County Prosecutor s Office.
On Sunday, Jan. 3, Pettis County Deputies conducted a vehicle stop in the 1000 block of South Main in La Monte. The driver, Kimberly Ballenger, was arrested on two outstanding Pettis County warrants. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
On Jan. 1, Pettis County Deputies arrested Katie Grissum of Boonville for driving while intoxicated and driving on the wrong side of the roadway. Grissum was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was later released with summonses and to a sober driver.
On Wednesday, Dec. 30, 66-year-old Viola Vinyard of Sedalia reported a case of possible fraud to Pettis County Sheriff s Office.
On Wednesday, Dec. 30, Eric and Mellisa Tobin of Sedalia, reported to the Pettis County Sheriff s Office that someone stole their 2009 red Mazda from their driveway overnight.
On Tuesday, Dec. 29, Pettis County Deputies responded to 3152 Elsie Drive for a runaway report. The caller said her 16-year-old son had run away. She added that he left the house with a 17-year-old male living at the residence. The son was later located and returned to his mother.
Heavy mixed precipitation is possible as the national Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for all of the KMMO listening area to usher in the new year.
According to a release from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulations of one- to three-tenths of an inch are possible for portions of central, north central, northwest and west central Missouri
The advisory is in effect from Thursday evening through Friday afternoon.
Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and/or evening commutes.
