Tributes paid to Draperstown man who died in Donegal river

Tributes have been paid to a County Derry man who has passed away after falling into a river during a fishing trip in Donegal.
Michael Conway, from Draperstown, is thought to have been fishing between Glenmore and Cloughan in Ballybofey when he fell into the river.
Emergency services recovered his body from the river after attending the scene, with a post mortem due to take place at Letterkenny University Hospital.
Local sports clubs Draperstown Celtic FC and Ballinascreen GAC led online tributes to Michael following news of his death.
The GAA has confirmed that inter-county senior challenge matches can proceed from tonight.
An earlier date of 10 May had been conveyed but the GAA issued an update this evening confirming this date had been brought forward to 5 May.
Earlier, inter-county minor and under-20 teams received a huge boost with the news that full-contact training can begin from next Monday, 10 May. Games in these cohorts will be permitted from 7 June.
In the coming days, the Central Competitions Control Commitee (CCCC) will also publish a schedule for both the completion of 2020 competitions and dates for 2021 inter-county competitions at the respective levels.
On Tuesday, the Government provided clarity on this area to the GAA, Ladies Gaelic Football Association and Camogie Association.

FOUR-TIME ALL-Ireland winner Katrina Parrock has returned to the Wexford camogie panel ahead of the 2021 season.
Parrock, who was part of Wexford’s three-in-a-row All-Ireland champions, has linked up with the squad after stepping away from inter-county camogie in 2017.
She was 17 when she played in her first All-Ireland final, coming on as a substitute to score a goal against Cork in the 2007 decider and help secure a first O’Duffy Cup for the county in 32 years.
