A 63-year-old Warsaw woman has been charged with a couple of felonies after law enforcement responded to a domestic disturbance call on Tuesday, December 22. Just before 6:30 a.m. on December 22, the Benton County Sheriff’s Department received a call in reference to a domestic disturbance where a male subject was shot and killed. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, it appeared that the victim had died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the upper torso of his body. It was determined that Patricia Garvey of Warsaw retrieved the shotgun while arguing with the victim. Garvey reportedly told authorities she had retrieve the firearm after a brief break in the domestic dispute. While walking through a furniture crowded living room, Garvey said the victim continued to be hostile towards her.
