Timothy Cornell’s surprise at the riots inside the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday only grew the following day.
Cornell, who lives with his family in the 18100 block of North Mount Olive Road just outside of Gravette, was told on Thursday that Richard Barnett is listed as living on the same street as him. Like others in the town and surrounding communities, Cornell’s family may not have had direct experience with Barnett but, like in many small towns, no one is too far removed from one another.
“My wife said she recognized the guy,” he said. “I had never seen him.”
