Lyon County Residents Take Full Advantage of COVID Vaccine

Officials said they will receive more vaccines next week and apologized for the inconvenience. Officials with the Pennyrile District Health Department say the COVID vaccine clinics scheduled in Caldwell, Crittenden, and Lyon counties for Thursday are cancelled in these counties. Health officials add they will announce through media and Facebook when the health department receives more vaccine from the state.

Trigg COVID Testing Site Moved to Hospital Street Location

The Pennyrile District Health Department reported 11 new COVID-19 cases in Trigg County Tuesday and announced they have begun vaccinations in the five-county district. Six of the 11 new cases in Trigg County were between 22 and 59 with four people between the ages of 60 and 84. All 11 people infected are isolated at home with mild or no symptoms. 51-percent of Trigg County’s 245 cases in December involve people between the ages of 22 and 59. Conversely, 16 or six-percent have been 21 or under this month. The district health department also announced they began vaccinating department employees and first responders in Lyon County Monday. Meanwhile, COVID-19 testing at Trigg County Hospital and Primary Care will now be done at the former Bostick Eye Care building at 13 Hospital Street the hospital announced Monday.

Trigg County Records Third COVID-Related Death

On a day when the Pennyrile District Health Department reported 20 new COVID-19 cases for Trigg County, they also reported the county’s third death. The only details released concerning the COVID-related death was that it was an 85 years old male. Of the 20 new cases reported Monday, all were isolated at home.  17 of the 20 cases involved people between 22 and 59.  Three cases were between 60 and 84, and none of the cases involved anyone under the age of 21.  

Trigg Co gains 20 COVID-19 cases, Todd Co gains 15 cases

Trigg County’s numbers are since Thursday, and all new cases are isolating at home, according to the Pennyrile District Health Department, which also reported a new Trigg County death the victim is an 85-year old male. In Todd County, 12 of the 15 cases are otherwise healthy adults, all with minor to moderate symptoms three cases are minors, and all are isolating and healing at home. That brings Todd County’s total cases up to 671, with 609 of those individuals having recovered from the virus. Todd County has had 16 COVID-19 related deaths.
