There were 18 new confirmed coronavirus cases in Christian County since Friday and the number of active cases is down significantly to 86.
Only 11 of those cases are 60 or older and 57 are between the ages of 22 and 59.
Meanwhile, Trigg County reported 10 new cases since Friday. The Pennyrile District Health Department reported a total of 35 active coronavirus cases around its five-county district as of Friday afternoon. According to
The Pennyrile District Health Department announced Wednesday ten COVID-related deaths confirmed by the state health board.
The district reported four deaths from Trigg County, including a 63-year-old female who passed away December 27, while an 83-year-old and a 97-year-old female, and an 86-year-old male, all passed away in January.
In addition, three of the confirmed COVID-related deaths were in Caldwell County and included two 87-year old females and an 88-year old female, who all passed away in December.
Elsewhere in the district, one was in Lyon County, and two COVID-related deaths were in Livingston County.
The district also reported four new COVID-19 cases Wednesday that included a 59-year-old male recovering at home in Trigg County. The county has reported 1,256 total COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began.

The Pennyrile District Health Department announced another COVID-19 death in Caldwell County and Lyon County and six new cases in Trigg County.
A 54-year old man was Caldwell County’s death and Lyon County’s fatality happened in late March and was a 77-year old man.
