Flint Mobile Food Pantry Dates and Locations for February 2021
The Flint mobile food pantries will continue helping Flint residents in February.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will keep the Flint mobile food pantries up and running for residents in February. The food pantries provide nutritious food for Flint residents with their partnership with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan in Flint.
These mobile food pantries are still taking all COVID-19 precautions to keep customers and staff safe and require all volunteers to wear gloves and masks and sanitize often. The volunteers at the mobile food pantries will even load the food into the customer s trunk so they don t even need to get out of their vehicle.

The Food Bank of Delaware is hosting drive-thru mobile pantries in each Delaware county for families struggling to afford food. In Sussex County, the mobile event will start at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 29, at Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown.
To help speed up the check-in process, preregistration is requested; go to JanSussexCountyFood.eventbrite.com. On-site registration will also be available. Service will be first-come, first-served. Assistance is limited to one allotment per household. Attendees must be present to receive assistance. The Food Bank of Delaware is prepared to serve up to 1,500 households at each pantry. Recipients must bring proof of ID and Delaware residence.

Charles (Charlie) Dawson Smith went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Jan. 17, 2021, after a valiant fight against coronavirus. His wife, Christine, and daughter, Stephanie, were by his side when he passed at the Williamsport Hospital.
Charlie was well-loved by family, friends and his church family. He was always joking around with people and could talk to anyone. Charlie enjoyed kayaking, spending time with his wife doing various home improvement projects and being with his special needs daughter, Amanda. He liked watching westerns on TV and putting together model cars.
His wife, Christine, was the love of his life. They were a couple for 10 years and then got married in 2002 at the historic Warrior Run Church. They celebrated 18 years of marriage in July 2020. Theirs was a love story for 28 years, that their friends admired.

Gretta Wolter
The Xi Sigma chapter of Beta Sigma Phl honored Gretta Wolter at its Dec. 8 meeting held at St. Jude parish hall.
Wolter received the Torchbearer Degree, which is the highest degree in the sorority. Having joined in 1980, she has been a member for 40 years and has served in every office and all committee chair positions many times.
Wolter is the mother of three daughters and seven grandchildren. She also is active giving her time and talents at Bethel United Methodist Church, and she volunteers with the Lewes Historical Society.
