Obituaries » Galen Lee Barefoot Galen Lee Barefoot, 72, of Warrenton, passed away from COVID-19 on March 9, 2021, at Brookside Rehab and Nursing Center. He was born on July 6, 1948, in Bedford, Pa., to the late Ivan Barefoot and Betty Smith Barefoot. Galen is survived by his children, Scott Barefoot of Warrenton, Nicole Goepper (Chris), of Linden, U.S. Army Capt. Christopher Barefoot (Taryn) of DuPont, Wash., and Megan Sim (Chris) of Frederick, Md.; his grandchildren, Josephine, Martine, Evangeline, Adelaide, Calvin and Charlotte, and his brother, Kevin Barefoot (Clare Ann) of Pennsylvania. Galen was a devout servant to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. He loved spreading the Good News of the Gospel to all. He also lived by the Word and was a very generous and giving person who always wanted to help others. He was very patriotic and had a deep love for his country.

Obituary: Roland Caspersen Dec. 16, 1936 – Jan. 3, 2021 ROLAND CASPERSEN Dec. 16, 1936 – Jan. 3, 2021 A man of intellectual curiosity, laughter, love and friendship left earth Sunday, January 3, 2021, to join the heavenly hosts. He struggled with cancer for two years. He was born to Roy and Astrid Caspersen on December 16, 1936, in Oslo, Norway. Worried about the war clouds looming over Europe, in January 1940, Roland’s grandfather, William Caspersen, joined his American born daughter, Astrid, in New York to prepare a new home in the United States. Roland and his grandmother, Dagmar Caspersen, were to come in mid-April. Germany invaded Norway on April 9, 1940, just days before the family’s departure. The Occupation began a 5-year period of brutal deprivation, terror and hardship in Norway. Dagmar refused to join the Norwegian Nazi Party, which meant she was unable to secure a good job. Hers was a difficult and principled choice which Roland admired throughout his life.

Wright and William Dannewitz. Bob started working at Muller corp. as a design draftsman upon graduation for high school. In 1953 Bob Picked up his family and went west after accepting a position at LANL(Los Alamos National Laboratory) and fell in Love with Los Alamos with the Great outdoors, his love for this never faded. Bob retired from the Los Alamos National Laboratory in 1982 He worked in many divisions, and enjoyed his work, but mostly those he worked with.
