First Lutheran Church news
On Sunday, March 21, First Lutheran Church, 424 S. Eighth St., Brainerd, will have in-person worship at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.
Strict COVID-19 protocol will be enforced. Masks will be required as well as appropriate spacing of worshippers in pews. Use of hand sanitizer upon entering and leaving the church will be mandatory.
The Sunday service will be broadcast via Zoom and to those attending worship in the church parking lot which extends from the north side of Anderson Cleaners to Maple Street and from South Eighth Street to The Office Shop. Tune the radio to 97.7 FM.

Donation made to Mid-Minnesota Women’s Center
The Brainerd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Relief Society Organization recently donated needed items to the Mid-Minnesota Women s Center in Brainerd as a service project for the Alex & Brandon Child Safety Center.
The Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is one of the largest women’s organizations in the world. The relief society is for women ages 18 and over whose purpose is to provide support for the temporal and spiritual needs of all women in the church, as well as others who are in need.

Unitarian Universalist churches to co-sponsor service
Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Mesabi UU and Unitarian Church of Underwood to co-sponsor a 10 a.m. March 14 service called “Dance in the Desert, Bring Your Tambourine.
After a year of pandemic life, Unitarian Universalist Rev. Erin Walter will reflect (and sing about) how we may endure ongoing isolation and struggle while also embracing moments of love and joy along the way.
Drive-thru food pantry accepting online orders
DeKALB– The “Feed My Sheep Food Pantry” at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1915 N. 1st St., is now accepting online orders, according to the church’s website. The main purpose of the food pantry is to supply food for the needy, as well as occasionally offer some household goods, clothing and other items.
To sign up for an online pick-up simply fill out their online form; select the desired items and then pick it up during open pantry hours.
“Our pantry is open for drive-thru pick-ups on Tuesdays from 3 to 5 p.m. and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.” said Mack Patrick, Bethlehem Lutheran Church pastor and one of the leaders of the food pantry said. “You are also welcome to come and get a pre-packed box of food in person if you are unable to order online as well.”
