The change in schedule from the conference’s traditional Fall timeline was announced by SportAccord to allow the SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit 2021, in Ekaterinburg, Russia, to be rescheduled for Nov. 7-12. Now in its 15th edition, the one-day meeting of IF leaders and sports industry executives will be staged virtually via the Olympic Capital of Lausanne.

Host City partners with energy provider Aggreko Aggreko, a company which provides mobile and modular energy, has been announced as the official sustainability partner of the Host City Americas Conference 2021. It is also the headline sponsor of the Host City 2021 Conference. Host City is a magazine publisher and conference organiser which operates globally. In addition to the partnership, David De Behr, head of sales for Aggreko Event Services, has been appointed as advisory board member for Host City. De Behr has worked within the events team at Aggreko for over 20 years, delivering innovative energy solutions for events including the Olympics and Glastonbury Festival. His role will focus on helping Host City to develop their sustainability efforts.

Moonbeam Collective musicians create lockdown album

Songs for a Watchful World WHILE the coronavirus pandemic has had a devastating impact, lock-downs have led to many musicians carrying on being creative, collaborating, finding new and resourceful ways to do so, and trying to make sense of the times. This was the case when The Moonbeams’ main songwriter and frontman Jon Avison, and Martin Beek, a well known and respected Oxford-based artist and lyricist, got together. A lockdown project was born and the album Songs From A Watchful World was created with Martin’s words set to Jon’s tunes. Martin also provided the artwork for the project.
