Rizzo began his career as a band director in the East Allegheny School District in 1993.
Since that time, he has served as a band director for Penn Hills School District and Indiana Area School District, as well as an assistant principal at Indiana Area Senior High School, principal at Ben Franklin Elementary School, coordinator of instructional technology for Indiana Area School District, and most recently, assistant superintendent of the Indiana Area School District.
Rizzo is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Educational Leadership: Instructional Technology through Wilkes University. He earned his Superintendentâs Letter of Eligibility in 2015 from California University of Pennsylvania, his Principal Certification and Master of Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Penn State University.

TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) â A Town of Tonawanda mother is praising a police officer for taking time out of his day to be a real-life superhero to my daughter and nephew!!
Sharon Hunter was in Lincoln Park Sunday afternoon with her daughter, 5-year-old Sarai, and her nephew, 6-year-old Josiah, when they met Town of Tonawanda Police Officer Schultz. They both dream of being a police officer when they grow up, Hunter said. He gave them a tour of the police car and explained everything on his belt. Then he gave them both badges and encouraged them to follow their dream.

ROYERSFORD â With little warning, and no mention on the agenda, the Spring-Ford School Board voted 8-1 Monday night to halt its search for a new superintendent and negotiate a contract with the man doing the job right now.

Lawrence school district named National District of Character
Members of the Lawrence Township Public School District, which has been named a National District of Character for 2020, picked up their award at a virtual ceremony on March 5, marking the second time that the school district has earned the national honor.
The Lawrence school district is one of seven public school districts nationwide to receive the honor from Character.org for 2020. The national, nonprofit group works with schools and school districts to help students become ethical and compassionate citizens, according to its website.
The designation of a National District of Character is valid for five years.
