Most of Pennsylvania is under a hazardous weather advisory, with some areas expecting dangerously high heat and humidity, and other areas bracing for severe storms.
The highest heat and humidity is expected in the Harrisburg area and eastern Pennsylvania, including York, Lancaster, Adams, Bucks and Philadelphia counties.
Additionally, severe storms are expected in Monroe County, other parts of eastern and central Pennsylvania, and Erie. Some storms could lead to flooding, according to the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency. Erie is also under a warning for rip currents.
Temperatures will hover in the high 90s in central and eastern Pennsylvania through Wednesday, and humidity is expected to push the heat index to 100 to 104 degrees.
