In January, Bally’s Corporation announced that it had signed an agreement with investor and Penn State alumnus Ira Lubert to develop a planned $120 million mini-casino in Centre County.
New Online Casinos
With new online casinos opening up across the US every month it seems, it’s hard to keep pace with which online casinos are live and online in which markets.
Along with the major casino brands we all recognize, like MGM and Caesars, there are also several “new” casino brands making inroads with great online casino games & slots, free spin promos and big sign-up bonuses.
Here’s a list of the best new online casinos you can find in legalized states. If you don’t live in one of those states, we’ve included a list of sweepstakes casinos (see bottom of page), which are
Pennsylvania casinos started the year off strong as facilities work to recoup revenues lost to the coronavirus pandemic. Regarding the article “Frank Dermody lost state House election but lands $145,000/year gambling board job” (Jan. 28, TribLIVE): I’m glad Dermody was appointed to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Dermody brings an incomparable level of expertise on the subject matter of the commission. This being a two-year appointment means his participation in and contributions to the commission will be part of the public record.
The House honored Dermody’s service in a public ceremony available on PCN. Journalists and Carrie Lewis DelRosso, to whom Dermody lost the election, should review it before making disparaging comments and inferences which seek to destroy the sterling reputation of an outstanding and ethical public servant after a lifetime of service to his constituents and state.
