The first day of 2021 falls on a Friday. As you would expect, most government offices, banks and libraries are closed. About the only thing open will be retail stores and some grocery stores including Giant, Wegmans and Weis.
Here is a rundown of what we were able to determine regarding what is closed on New Year’s Day.

If you have business to attend to the day before Christmas, you might want to do it early.
Some places will close early on Christmas Eve, Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020, and most places are closed on Christmas Day. Grocery stores are closing early, too.
