Catalinaâs Sports Bar and Grille, which police data shows say is a source of dozens of 911 calls over the past four-plus years â and was where four people were shot earlier this month â is selling its liquor license.
Wayne Pagan, who manages the bar with his brother Luis, said Catalinaâs is being forced to sell the license.
On Tuesday â a day ahead of a Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board hearing where the barâs license is on the agenda â he called both the city and the board corrupt and in cahoots with each other.
âTheyâre forcing us to sell the license. The hearing really doesnât matter ⦠We agreed and signed off on everything,â Wayne Pagan said.

Carbondale – The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) today announced the grand opening of a Fine Wine & Good Spirits at 63 S. Main St., Carbondale, Lackawanna County.
With more than 3,100 square feet of retail space, this store features about 2,000 wines and spirits, including the popular Chairman’s Advantage® products, which are hand-selected, highly rated wines available for less than $10 a bottle.
To celebrate the grand opening, all in-store wines, spirits, and accessories will be 10% off during regular business hours from Monday, June 28, through Wednesday, June 30.

A man accused of illegally selling bottles of booze from his Erie residence at a time when the state s liquor stores were closed because of COVID-19 was ordered on Wednesday to pay a fine.
Erie County Judge Daniel Brabender fined 25-year-old Tayvon M. Lindsey $500 and imposed no other penalties after Lindsey pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of unlawful sales of liquor.
The sentence followed an agreement reached between prosecutors and Lindsey s lawyer, Eric Hackwelder, at Lindsey s preliminary hearing in August. He waived the unlawful sales charge to court at the hearing after prosecutors withdrew one misdemeanor count of unlawful possession or transportation of liquor or alcohol.
