Feb 9, 2021 Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board Files Charges Against District Judge (Harrisburg, PA)   The Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board is filing misconduct charges against a Dauphin County Magisterial District Judge. The board announced yesterday that it has charged Judge Sonya M. McKnight for her alleged actions during a traffic stop involving her son last year. According to the filing, McKnight is being accused of violating the rules governing standards of conduct of magisterial district judges. Board members say if she is found guilty by the court, she could face sanctions including censure, suspension, fines and possible removal from office.

Judicial Conduct Board files charges against Harrisburg judge accused of interfering in son’s arrest Updated Feb 08, 2021; Facebook Share The Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board on Monday accused a Harrisburg magisterial district judge charged with three crimes of violating standards of judicial conduct. The board also asked that Judge Sonya McKnight be suspended without pay. She currently is suspended with pay. The attorney general’s office filed criminal charges against McKnight in December in connection with a Feb. 22, 2020 traffic stop of her son Kevin Baltimore, 33, in the city of Harrisburg. Police say she used her position as a judge to interfere with officers who were trying to arrest her son.
