Posted By: JJ Hayes April 27, 2021 @ 3:34 am Blogs, JJ Hayes Show Page   Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Pennsylvania Boy Scout Troop 2046.   They recently made a difference by helping the Pennsylvania Veteran Farming Project, which is a grassroots network of veterans and military who farm and operate agricultural production.  The troop recently visited Butler Hill Maple Farm and helped plant 850 sugar maple seedling that would later produce maple syrup and other maple products on the farm.  Thank you Boy Scouts and THANK YOU to the Veterans of the Farming Project for your service. Area residents among virtual presenters set for second PA Veteran Farming Conference

The inaugural Pennsylvania Veteran Farming Conference drew a standing-room-only gathering of about 75 to the Pennsylvania Military Museum in Boalsburg last February. This year’s conference, open to the public as well as military members, veterans and their families, was to have occurred at a larger venue. But, because the covid-19 pandemic is still with us, it will be held virtually Feb. 27.
