SUMMERSTOWN There’ll be Jackrabbits in the Summerstown Forest again early in 2021.
The Friends of the Summerstown Trails (FOTST) have announced the popular cross-country skiing Jackrabbit Program will be offered once again this winter, starting Jan. 10. It’s for kids ages three to 12 and will be presented by the Summerstown Coyote Nordiq Club, which is an entity of the FOTST.

The national program developed and delivered by Cross-Country Ski Canada is named after Herman “Jackrabbit” Johansen, a Norwegian credited with introducing cross-country skiing to Canada and the United States in the 1920s and 30s. The overall objective of the program is to assist children in developing of a love of the outdoors, promote a healthy lifestyle and a good level of physical fitness, while focusing on fun activ
