Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is informing the public that the following four COVID-19 outbreaks are over
: Whitewater Region Community, Pembroke Regional Hospital, Miramichi Lodge and the esthetician workplace in Petawawa.
RCDHU is confirming that all individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 have completed the two-week isolation period and no further positive tests have been received. Fortunately, there was no serious illness requiring hospitalization amongst the individuals who tested positive for COVID-19.

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH).
The announcement comes after a second member of the health care team has tested positive for the virus. This case is linked to the positive staff case identified on December 27th.
The COVID-19 outbreak has been contained to the Emergency Department with no patients identified as high risk contacts .
PRH President and CEO Pierre Noel wants to assure the community that the Pembroke Regional Hospital, and in particular, the Emergency Department, remains a safe place to come to for medical care due to safety measures they have in place.
OTTAWA A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the Pembroke Regional Hospital after a second staff member tested positive for the novel coronavirus. In a press release, the hospital said the outbreak has been contained to personnel in the emergency department. The positive test result that triggered the outbreak has been linked to the positive staff case identified on Dec. 27. Once again we want to assure our community that our hospital, and in particular, our Emergency Department, remains a safe place to come to for medical care due to the safety measures we have in place to protect our patients, visitors, staff and physicians, said hospital President and CEO Pierre Noel.
