TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) – Payton Pierce, a 16-year old girl from Tomah, is well-loved around the Tomah community.
“Payton is one of those people who is always there for anyone who needs her. She’s one of those people who you can’t be around without smiling,” said Payton’s friend, Peyton Foster.
Payton continues to recover in a Madison hospital from severe injuries that happened in a car crash earlier this month.
Her friends wanted to make sure they were there for her.
“My initial instinct was oh my goodness how can I help how can I show my love for Payton,” Foster said.
Onslow County Republicans won big in the 2020 general election. Outside of losing some of the regional and national seats, voters in the county went straight ticket on the ballots, which also caused a bit of an uproar after the results were released.
Now that Onslow has been painted red again, where does the party go from here? For starters, electing a new board of volunteers.
During the Onslow Republican Convention on Saturday, March 6, a new executive board was elected to serve the Onslow GOP for the next two years.
Peyton Foster, secretary (defeated Christy Lopez), Melinda Highers, chairman (defeated Cynthia Lacorte), Bob Roupe, vice-chair (defeated Christine Lee-Card), Lori Ready-Digiovanni, treasurer (defeated Roy Herrick Jr.) and Josh Foley, assistant treasurer (defeated Al Carpenter). Jerry Morse ran for second vice-chair and William Argenbright ran for parliamentarian with Lacorte s team but was also defeated.
