The notion of vintage wines continues to fade as the field of wine welcomes new voices to the arena with other priorities. It used to be that vintages were analyzed from start to finish and then compared with previous years for clues to whether or not the wines coming out of a specific growing season could be expected to be as great, good, indifferent or worse than previous years.
GATLINBURG â A Louisville, Kentucky, man is accused of striking two Park Vista employees with his car while trying to flee the facility on Thursday.
Bailey Williamson and Tiffany S. Dunn were injured when 21-year-old Javier Gonzalez-Cruz struck them as he fled the hotel at about 10 a.m. Thursday, according to court documents.
Dunn was airlifted to UT Medical Center, where she was in stable condition Friday. Williamson was taken to Leconte Medical Center; no update on his condition was available Friday.
Gonzalez-Cruz fled the hotel after that incident, but Gatlinburg Police caught up to him minutes later at the intersection of the Parkway and Highway 321, city spokesman Seth Butler said. They arrested him and a female passenger without incident.
