Local POL production increases by 5.01pc in 1st half of FY 2020-21

On year-on-year basis, the production of POL commodities has witnessed an increase of 23.91 percent
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The overall production of petroleum commodities has witnessed an increase of 5.01 percent during the first half of financial year 2020-21 as compared to corresponding period of last year.
The Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants (POL) products that showed growth including kerosene oil production, which increased by 3.83 percent during the period under review, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported.
Similarly, the production of Motor Spirits, High Speed Diesel, Furnace Oil, Jute Batching Oil and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) witnessing increase of 18.54 percent, 9.74 percent, 6.52 percent, 4.17 percent and 6.39 percent respectively.

ISLAMABAD (APP) - The Large Scale Manufacturing Industries (LSMI) production grew by 11.40 percent on year-on-year basis during the month of December 2020 as compared to the corresponding month of last year, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported Friday.
LSMI Quantum Index Number (QIM) was recorded at 167.21 points during December 2020 against 150.11 points during December 2019, showing positive growth of 11.4 percent, according to the latest PBS data.
During the first half (H1) of the current fiscal year, the overall production increased by 8.16 percent compared to the corresponding period of last fiscal year. The industrial production during July-December (2020-21) was recorded at 143.30 points against the output of 132.49 points during July-December (2019-20).

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – At a time when the world economic growth rate has been hit hard by the COVID-19 (coronavirus) shocks, the economy of Pakistan has been showing significant progress as indicated by various indicators, depicting prudent polices of the government in running the country in these crisis times.
According to official figures, the Large Scale Manufacturing Industries (LSMI) witnessed growth of 7.41 percent during the first five months (July-November) of the current fiscal year compared to the corresponding period of last year. While on year-on-year basis, the LSMI grew by 14.46 percent in November 2020 as compared to November 2019.
