Ghanta gadi charred in garbage fire, 3 injured Ghanta gadi charred in garbage fire, 3 injured ByVijay ChavanVijay Chavan / Updated: Apr 21, 2021, 06:00 IST No casualties in an incident that took place near Nanded village on Tuesday Following a fire that broke out in the garbage processing plants in Ramtekdi, Hadapsar and Uruli-Phursungi the trend has reached to Nanded garbage depot on Sinhagad Road. The sudden fire on Tuesday afternoon charred the entire Ghanta gadi parked inside the depot and also injured a waste picker couple and an employee belonging to Nanded Gram Panchayat. The locals suspect that the fire was lit deliberately to dispose of the waste as the agency which is lifting the waste for processing did not touch it for the last three months. The pile of waste has been dumped at the site for almost two years. With a sizable population, over 20 tonne of waste is generated on a daily basis from Nanded city, Shivane, Gorhe and other surrounding villages.

Mumbai Metro to soon get made-in-India driverless metro car

These trains are being manufactured at BEML Bengaluru Complex.   Defence minister Rajnath Singh on Friday unveiled the state-of-the-art driverless metro car at a function held at BEML’s Bangalore complex.
