The EPD said its men will repack the donations and will soon be distributed to the houses of identified beneficiaries.
Major Eric Cister of the EPD personally accepted the donations from the Malasakit Movement founded by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) spokesperson Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago.
“EPD would like to express our deepest gratitude to all our benefactors for continuously extending support on all our plans and programs to better serve the people of the community who are in need,” Cister said.
On April 19, the EPD opened its own community pantry right in front of its headquarters along Caruncho Avenue in Pasig City.

CALOOCAN CITY, April 21 (PIA) The Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF), in partnership with the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) and the support of USAID-Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) and New Zealand Aid, recently brought together public service continuity (PSCP) experts to provide technical consultation on the draft public service continuity plans of government organizations from the first batch of the PSCP Mentorship program.
The lecturers came from both the private sector and academe: Enrique Victor Pampolina (Deloitte), Cristian Caong (JG Summit), Nestor Dabi (BC Consultant), Miguel Angelo Guttierez (PLDT), and Dr. Eula Bianca Villar (Asian Institute of Management). They gave lectures on business and public service continuity in the time of COVID-19 and the implementation of their continuity program.

But what the MMDA personnel probably realized afterward was that Nebrija wasn’t simply there to bring them supplies. Rather, EDSA’s so-called “Eagle Alpha” sought to boost their morale by seeing them in person after their harrowing episode with the illness.
“This morning I gave their ayuda after going through their Covid ordeal. I asked this photo taken with them and they asked why? This is good for our unit I said, to have Team Positive,” the MMDA official wrote.
