Rajkot: A doctor, along with the hotel owner and manager, were on Friday booked for violation of Covid-19 guidelines. According to police more than 100 guests attended the wedding reception of Dr K K Rawal’s son held a Rajkot hotel on last Sunday. The government has capped the guest limit to 50 for wedding functions.
The Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) officials said Dr K K Rawal, a gastroenterologists, hotel owner Sumit Patel and manager Sanjay Sharma were arrested on Friday. They were booked under various sections of Epidemic Diseases Act. Bride’s father Bharat Vyas too has been booked but is yet to be arrested.

Actor Jimmy Shergill and National award winning director Eeshwar Nivas were among 35 booked for flouting Covid-19 lockdown rules while shooting in Punjab s Ludhiana, police said on Wednesday.
They were shooting for the web series Your Honor , a remake of an Israeli web show, in a private school without permission and following Covid appropriate behaviour.
A case was registered against them on Tuesday night.
A crew of 150 members was shooting at a set at around 8 p.m., two hours after the curfew to contain the virus came into effect, when the police raided the place.

A case has been booked against actor Jimmy Shergill and director Eeshwar Nivas for violating safety protocols against the coronavirus in Ludhiana, India’s The Tribune reported.
Ludhiana police filed a case against the cast after raiding a set at 8pm, which is over two hours into the curfew timings in the country.
Nivas was among the three people arrested but were released on bail later.
