Let s go! Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of SHAWN R. PORTER (DOB: 8/19/86; single; unemployed) of 201-95 Twenty-Fifth Street, Etobicoke, Canada and JEREMY M. WINDOLOSKI (DOB: 6/24/97; single; limo driver) of 478 River Road, Hogansburg, New York on drug offenses. The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti. On April 27, 2021, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor s Office Narcotics Task Force initiated a traffic stop on a Ford Expedition as it was traveling on Interstate 80 East in Lodi, New Jersey. Upon approaching the vehicle, they identified SHAWN R. PORTER as the driver and JEREMY M. WINDOLOSKI as the passenger. When the windows to the vehicle were rolled down, detectives observed the entire rear portion of the vehicle to be filled with thirteen oversized duffle bags. N.J. woman, 66, found dead in house fire, authorities say Updated 11:17 AM; Editor’s note: This story has been updated to include the victim’s information A 66-year-old woman was found dead Monday following an early morning fire in her North Jersey home, authorities said. Sharon Maes was found unresponsive inside the two-story home in the 200 block of North Pleasant Avenue in Ridgewood following the fire, which was reported about 1 a.m., according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. “During fire suppression operations, firefighters located the homeowner (identified as Maes) in the living room of the residence,” Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said in a statement. “Maes succumbed to her injuries from the fire and was pronounced deceased at the scene.”

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information:  The Ridgewood Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor s Office are investigating the cause of a fatal fire in Ridgewood early Monday, April 26, 2021. At approximately 12:55 a.m. on April 26, 2021, the Ridgewood Police Department received a report of a house fire at 255 North Pleasant Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ. Members of the Ridgewood Fire Department located a fire in the area of the kitchen. During fire suppression operations, firefighters located the homeowner, 66-year-old Sharon Maes, unresponsive in the living room of the residence. Ms. Maes succumbed to her injuries from the fire and was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Ridgewood NJ fire leaves woman dead on North Pleasant Avenue

A woman was found dead inside a house that caught fire early Monday in Ridgewood, police said. Sharon Maes, 66, was found dead in the living room of her North Pleasant Avenue home, the Bergen County Prosecutor s Office stated. The fire started in the kitchen at about 1 a.m., but the cause remains under investigation. The cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious, the prosecutor s office stated. Maes was pronounced dead at the scene.  Monday morning, a Ridgewood officer could be seen canvassing the scene and wrapping the door in police tape.  Damage could be seen to the door and windows of the two-story house as personal belongings were gathered around the steps and garage.
