Berkshire Humane Society Pet of the Week: Meet Sparkles

Every Wednesday at 8:30 we re joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week. This week s Pet of the Week is Sparkles, Sparkles is a BIG 11.5-year-old female black and white tuxedo shorthaired cat. Sparkles came to Berkshire Humane Society because her owner could no longer care for her. She is very loving and will cuddle and sleep with you. Sparkles loves to be around people, so she may get underfoot especially when there is food around. You can tell she has an appetite for food because she is a bit overweight but is on a special diet so she can lose a few pounds and get back down to healthier size. Sparkles would do best in a home without young children and as a senior, she is eligible for a the senior discount. If you are interested in Sparkles, please call Berkshire Humane Society s feline department at 413-447-7878 extension 124.

Berkshire Humane Society Pet of the Week: Meet Chester

Every Wednesday at 8:30 we re joined by John Perreault, Executive Director of the Berkshire Humane Society to discuss all the happenings at their Barker Road facility, plus talk about their Pet of the Week. This week s Pet of the Week is Shiloh, an energetic 9-month-old male Australian Shepherd mix who came to Berkshire Humane Society on a transport from an overcrowded shelter in Mississippi. Staff at Berkshire Humane are looking for a specific home for this smart young dog. Shiloh s new owners) need to be an experienced dog person who own their own home, preferably with a fenced yard. It s important this person is energetic, as Shiloh, and will be willing to take the time to continue training that staff has already begun. Shiloh has a strong herding instinct, so a home without children under 13 years old, cats or small animals is required. He may get along with another dog; a dog introduction would be required.
