Indiana COVID-19 (Source: WFIE) By Jill Lyman | May 19, 2021 at 10:58 AM CDT - Updated May 19 at 10:58 AM INDIANA (WFIE) - Tuesday, the Indiana State Department of Health reported 819 new coronavirus cases and 12 more deaths. None of the new deaths were in our area. The Hoosier state has now had a total of 737,282 confirmed cases and 13,101 deaths. According to the state map, there are 11 new cases in Vanderburgh County, four new cases in Dubois County, four new cases in Warrick County, zero new cases in Perry County, one new case in Posey County, 14 new cases in Gibson County, two new case in Spencer County, and one new cases in Pike County.

Indiana COVID-19 (Source: WFIE) By Jill Lyman | May 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM CDT - Updated May 17 at 12:18 PM INDIANA (WFIE) - Governor Holcomb says Indiana will end its participation in all federally funded pandemic unemployment insurance programs effective June 19, 2021. The programs that will end are: Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC), which provides a $300 weekly add-on to recipients of unemployment insurance Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC), which provides recipients extended benefits after their traditional 26 weeks of unemployment insurance benefits have been exhausted Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), which provides benefits to individuals who do not normally qualify for unemployment benefits, such as self-employed, gig workers, and independent contractors

That brings the state’s all time total to 733,591 confirmed cases and 13,049 deaths. There were no new local deaths. The map shows 10 new cases in Vanderburgh County, zero new cases in Dubois County, three new cases in Warrick County, five new cases in Perry County, zero new cases in Posey County, two new cases in Gibson County, two new cases in Spencer County, and two new cases in Pike County.

The map shows 14 new cases in Vanderburgh County, one new case in Dubois County, four new cases in Warrick County, five new cases in Perry County, one new case in Posey County, three new cases in Gibson County, zero new cases in Spencer County, and two new cases in Pike County.
